Django Announced its version 5 and it brings some exciting new features.
Django now supports Python version upto 3.12.
Django introduces a new way to render form fields and their related elements. With the new Field render method and class, you can customize how your form fields look and behave. This gives you more control and flexibility over your forms, and makes them easier to test and reuse. you can create fields that have their values computed by the database to improve performance, consistency, and usability of advanced features.
But the excitement doesn’t stop there! Now its easier to declare choices for model fields and form fields by using a mapping or a callable instead of an iterable, and you don’t need to use the choices attribute to expand enumeration types
.
Django adds asynchronous authentication functions which can be used in async views and middleware to improve performance and scalability when dealing with authentication.
Lastly, Django handles client disconnects under ASGI. If a client closes the connection before the response is generated, Django will raise a http Disconnect exception, which you can catch and handle in your views. This helps in optimization and enables any necessary cleanup or logging.
