Disadvantages
Not the fastest (Though its recent upgrades has got more faster only split second difference from other top languages)
Not Strong type binding, this is also contradictory
Not easily convertable
To use other language in python it is too difficult to install binaries for the libraries of the language.
Contradictions
It uses interpretor, which is best for debugging and fast development because it reads the code line by line and not whole at once but this nature makes it slower than other languages.
It is true that python has no strong type binding but that is what makes it easier for beginners to learn faster and prototyping of new products. This is also why many urgent bugs are resolved using python untill developers does not make a better version from their base code.
